  7. Version 3.5 (Final Release, 13-Oct-95) and its subdirectories. Please, read

  12. release (03-Aug-95):

  32. TurboCalc 3.5 is the powerful successor to the program TurboCalc 2.0,
  33. which defined a new standard for spread-sheet analysis on the Amiga.
  34.  
  35. TurboCalc 3.5 uses an enhanced, easy-to-use user interface, utilising
  36. numerous innovations such as Drag & Drop for copying/moving or filling with
  37. the mouse, even easier selection of functions, freezing of sheet titles or
  38. the displayable status row. A multiple Undo/Redo of a variable depth
  39. reverses the effect of erroneous data or commands and can save much work,
  40. as can the Autosave and Backup options.

  42. Thanks to the new object concept which allows insertion and printing of
  43. charts, texts, drawings, IFF-images ... directly in the sheet, sheets can
  44. now be more effectively created and designed.
  45. Charts (e.g. the new 3D bar and pie charts) can be directly placed beside
  46. the appropriate number sequence. Longer texts can be compactly accomodated
  47. in a cell comprising several lines. The formfeed visible in the sheet as
  48. well as the print preview funct on assist in achieving optimal layout on
  49. screen, saving both paper and time.

  51. All this can be committed to paper with using improved print routines, or
  52. be integrated in your text processing software as IFF graphics or text (via
  53. file or clipboard).

  55. A database mask is now available to allow easier management of your
  56. TurboCalc databases.

  58. The most significant enhancements:
  59. -   Objects (chart, text, drawing, picture...) can be directly
  60.     inserted into the sheet and have a macro attached, and also
  61.     be printed in the graphic mode.
  62. -   Cells may contain several lines.
  63. -   Drag-and-Drop for moving/copying/changing the size of blocks
  64.     by the mouse.
  65. -   Multiple Undo/Redo
  66. -   Chart module vastly expanded (new chart types, 3D, Auto-
  67.     Refresh, ...).
  68. -   Preview for the printing of graphics (from OS2.0 on).
  69. -   Formfeed visible in the sheet.
  70. -   Data-Mask for an easier input/display of data records.
  71. -   Status row displayable with short online-help.
  72. -   (Maximal) number of columns increased: now up to 18278 columns
  73.     can be used (A..ZZZ) [together with up to 9 999 999 rows]
  74. -   Clipboard support for easy data exchange with text
  75.     processing programs.
  76. -   Sheets can be saved as IFF-images (e.g. for an easy export to
  77.     text processing programs).
  78. -   Autosave (every x minutes, alternatively the last version will
  79.     be kept).
  80. -   New Import & Export-Formats: Excel 4 (XLS) and Lotus 123 (.WK1/.WKS)
  81.     both can import formulas, the xls-filter even keeps most
  82.     of the cell formatting.
  83. -   Fast and easy access to the last used projects via "SmartOpen"
  84. -   Encrypting sheets using a very sophisticated cryptograhic
  85.     algorithm
